Updated: Aug 15

Australians are increasingly prioritizing their health and well-being, as evidenced by their spending habits in recent years.

The wellness industry in Australia has seen significant growth, with consumers allocating more of their income to gym memberships, wellness products, supplements, and health foods.

According to the Global Wellness Institute, Australia ranks 6th globally in wellness spending per capita, with Australians spending an average of US$3,771 (approximately AUD$5,239) per year on wellness-related products and services 1

This impressive figure demonstrates the country's commitment to health and well-being.  What is very sad is that most people do not get results from their health spending. To spend $5,239 per year and get very little improvement - is sad.

Australia has more than 50% of the population with a Chronic disease and 78% have a health condition at any one time.

So what is the solution ?

Be very specific and evidence based in what you spend on health.

1. Get a full comprehensive health test to determine your risk factors.

2. Spend money on things that are 100% proven to reduce your risk factors.

3. Remember there are 5 major areas you need to identify;

A) Eating

B)  Sleeping

C)  Stress management

D) Movement

E)  Others.

 4.  Don't listen to mainstream health and fitness advice. Most of it is "bro" science - in other words just an opinion - not based on evidence.

There are enough resources available to help you with almost any health condition on the planet.
